About

The MIS Genealogy Project is a joint effort of Lee Freeman at the University of Michigan Dearborn, Johann Kranz at LMU-Munich, Andrew Urbaczewski at the University of Denver, and George Westerman at MIT. The purpose of this project is to document our history and establish lineages in this relatively young field. Together with other researchers, we hope to create a pseudo-complete history of those who labor tirelessly in this field and to help identify those researchers who may have had more in common than they thought. Eventually we would like this to become affiliated with groups like AIS who represent academics in this field.
